The San Diego Padres made a statement on Wednesday morning when they committed nearly $5 million to five players on the international market, adding high-profile players with tons of upside.
Allocating significant funds to the amateur side for the first time in recent memory, the Padres added five 16-year-old prospects to its growing stable.
