Padres sign Emil Brown to minor league deal
Emil Brown, 34, returns to the Padres after having appeared in 13 games for San Diego in 2001. The right-handed-hitting outfielder played in 117 games for the Oakland Athletics in 2008, hitting .244 (98-for-402) with 14 doubles, two triples, 13 home runs, 59 RBI and 48 runs scored.
