The San Diego Padres selected Brayden Drake in the 12th round of the 2009 MLB Draft, 354th overall out of Missouri State. MadFriars.com sat down with Drake on the same day he was drafted. He talks about his hitting philosophy, his defensive progression and his intangibles.

The Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year has an incredibly high contact rate and believes in putting pressure on the defense by putting the ball in play.
"I am going to outwork just about everybody, anywhere I go," Drake said.
Drake was drafted as a third baseman but there are some who think he may flip over to second base in the future.
