Padres Draft Interview: Chris Tremblay

Chris Tremlay was selected by the San Diego Padres in the 19th round of the 2009 MLB Draft, 564th overall. MadFriars.com caught up with the infielder to discuss his strengths, what needs to improve over the next year and much more.

Chris Tremblay ended his Kent State as a .322 career hitter and finished third in career at-bats (804) and fourth in career hits (259).

Known for his defensive ability - he owns the Kent State record for career assists with 591 - Tremblay also flashed a solid bat as a senior. The shortstop hit .347 with 12 doubles, four triples and two homers. He also scored 66 runs and drove in 33.

Tremblay was named MAC tournament MVP with seven hits in 14 at-bats with eight runs scored and a home run.
