Padres Prospect Video: Chris Fetter

San Diego Padres prospect Chris Fetter was dynamite in Eugene and played an important role in helping Fort Wayne win a championship.

A ninth-round pick of out Michigan, Chris Fetter came into the system with more talent than his draft status suggests. His overall command of the fastball was on par with a savvy veteran and the focus turned to improving his secondary pitches.

With a three-quarters arm angle, the question begged whether going more over the top would improve his downward plane but the right-hander stays on top of the ball and gets good action moving down in the zone. Being able to spot the fastball on both corners has made his secondary pitches more effective, although the slider was a focal point in instructs.
