We Want You To Vote!

We want your input to determine who our readers believe are the top 20 prospects in the Phillies organization.

Time for the first annual Philly Baseball Insider community vote for our reader's top 20 prospects!

We decided to try something new this year; let us explain how this works. We want our Philly Baseball Insider user community to develop their own end of season prospect list. It is a "top 20", well, because that's what we decided on. Who knows, if things are going well, maybe we'll keep going.

This list will be different than the "top 50" list that is put together by Philly Baseball Insider staff in that this ranking is done by a community vote. We will post a poll offering a number of options for each position on the list, starting with number one. You will always have the option to vote for "other" and can provide your vote either by listing it in a post in the thread or emailing your vote to Top20@PhillyBaseballInsider.com. After we declare who the #1 prospect is, we will then repeat the process down the list to choose the subsequent prospects.

You are always free (even encouraged) to cordially editorialize and try to influence others as this has the effect of educate all of us about the particular merits of a prospect.

Players eligible will include all players in the Phillies system that have not either pitched more than 50 innings in the majors or has more than 130 major league at bats. Some key players who are no longer eligible include Domonic Brown, Vance Worley and Michael Stutes. Michael Schwimer is still eligible, as are Justin De Fratus and Joe Savery, who were just added to the roster after September 1.

The voting starts when we post the first poll on our message board, which will be done on September 24.
