Lehigh Valley IronPigs (59-71) - When the Columbus Clippers beat Toledo 9-7 Tuesday night, it knocked the 'Pigs out of the wild card race in the International League. A win by Scranton/Wilkes-Barre or a Lehigh Valley loss will officially eliminate Lehigh Valley from the division race as well. In other words, don't print any playoff tickets in the Lehigh Valley.
Reading Fightin Phils (73-55) - For a while there, it looked like the Fightins might not lose again. At one point, Reading had won 15 of 16 games and everything was clicking perfectly. Now, they've come down to Earth and are going just a little sideways, having lost four out of their last five games. They've still got a solid four game lead in the division, in a league where the top two teams in the division qualify for the playoffs. Reading is six games clear of third-place Trenton and seem to have things well in hand.
Clearwater Threshers (37-33/73-56) - Having won the first-half division title, Clearwater is guaranteed a spot in the Florida State League Playoffs. The Threshers are also just percentage points behind Daytona in the race for the second-half championship. Either way, it looks like Clearwater and Daytona will be squaring off in the Division Championship Series to decide the Southern Division Champion.
Lakewood BlueClaws (33-35/64-61) - Lakewood finished the first-half 11 games out of the division lead, but have played better baseball in the second-half of the season. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that the turnaround is going to be good enough to take the second-half division crown. With 13 games left to play, Lakewood is nine games behind division leader West Virginia. The 'Claws lost three-of-four games to the Power late last week and over the weekend, pretty much sealing their fate.
Williamsport Crosscutters (41-22) - The Cutters have smashed their previous high in wins for the season, which was 38. Williamsport has a 7 1/2 game lead over State College in the division, with 13 games to play. The Crosscutters and Spikes wrap up a three-game series in Williamsport tonight, with the Cutters having won the first two games to pretty much wrap up the division and put themselves into the New York - Penn League Playoffs.
GCL Phillies (33-23) - The Little Phillies are four games behind the Blue Jays with four games left to play in the season. It could come down to the final two games, which have the Phillies and Jays squaring off in a home-and-home series.
