If a groundhog can predict the weather, Mother Nature should be able to set ticket prices

Those of you old enough to remember a classic TV commercial are familiar with the line, "It's not nice to fool with Mother Nature." Well, the Reading Fightins aren't taking any chances. They're letting Mother Nature set the ticket price for one day.

The price of a general admission ticket to see the Reading Fightins play at home is usually $7 for adults and $5 for kids and senior citizens. Well, for one day, Mother Nature is going to set the admission price.

In an interesting and creative promotion, the Reading Fightin Phils are going to check what Mother Nature has as a temperature at FirstEnergy Stadium this Friday morning at 8:30 and multiply each degree by a dime to come up with a special general admission ticket price. So, with a predicted overnight low of 28 coming into Friday and a daytime high of 42 predicted for during the day on Friday, you can figure the price will be somewhere between $2.80 and $4.20 for a general admission ticket, if you buy it on Friday.

Single game tickets don't even go on sale for another couple of weeks, but with this promotion, you can get a great price and get your tickets early for any game this season. The home season opens April 7th against Boston's Double-A affiliate, the Portland SeaDogs and single game tickets go on sale February 18.
