Hitting Recap: Cam Perkins, Cody Asche and Darnell Sweeney each had two hits to pace Lehigh Valley, who rallied in the ninth, but came up short. Sweeney delivered a double and scored a run for the IronPigs... Lehigh Valley was just 2-for-11 with runners in scoring position.
Pitching Recap: Phil Klein, coming off his IL Pitcher of the Month award, gave Lehigh Valley six innings, allowing one run on six hits and three walks, while striking out five... The Triple-A debut of Jimmy Cordero didn't go as planned, as he gave up four earned runs on four hits and two walks in 1 1/3 innings. Cordero gave up a double and a wild pitch in the seventh, but stranded a runner at third before getting hit hard in the eighth... Elvis Araujo came on to get the final four outs, stranding a runner at second in the eighth.
IronPigs Notes: Ben Lively (11-5) will pitch the playoff opener against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Wednesday, with Anthony Vasquez pitching game two of the series... The RailRiders are throwing left-handers Jordan Montgomery (5-1) and Phil Coke (5-3) in the two playoff games at CCP.
AA - Trenton [Yankees] 4, Reading 0

HR: Reading - none; Trenton - Dante Bichette (8), Sebastian Valle (4)
Pitching Recap: John Richy gave up two runs in the first and two runs in the sixth, lasting six innings and giving up seven hits and issuing two walks... Tom Windle pitched well in his first game back with Reading, after being reassigned from Clearwater. Windle didn't allow a hit or a walk, but Tyler Wade did reach first when he struck out on a wild pitch in the seventh, but Windle erased him by picking him off of first base and then striking out the next two hitters in the inning. Windle set down the side in order in the eighth.
Fightins Notes: Former Phillies prospect Sebastian Valle hit a solo home run against Richy in the sixth... K.C. Serna led off the fourth with a walk, followed by a base-hit from Christian Marrero, but Serna was thrown out by right fielder Billy McKinney trying to go to third on the play.
High-A - Clearwater 9, Dunedin [Blue Jays] 6

HR: Clearwater - Josh Tobias (2); Dunedin - none
Hitting Recap: The one-and-two hitters in the lineup, Zach Coppola and Josh Tobias each had three hits and both had a double. Tobias added a two-run home run and scored twice, while Coppola scored once... Austin Bossart had a single and a double, driving in three runs and scoring one.
Pitching Recap: Brandon Leibrandt made it through six innings, but it was't easy. Leibrandt gave up seven hits and a walk, striking out two batters and allowed three earned runs... Scott Harris was hit hard in his debut with Clearwater, pitching two innings, giving up three runs - two earned - on two hits and two walks... Austin Davis was perfect in the ninth, striking out two.
Threshers Notes: Clearwater and Dunedin would have played a double-header Sunday had the Blue Jays not wrapped up the division on Saturday. The second game would have been a make-up of a game rained out last Thursday in Dunedin... The Threshers finished the second half 43-25, after going 39-29 in the first half. Their overall 82-54 record was the best in the FSL North, but they failed to win either half, keeping them on the outside looking in for the postseason. Low-A - Lakewood 3, Greensboro [Marlins] 0
WP: Zach Morris (8-3), LP: Isaac Gil (1-3), SV: Sutter McLoughlin (14)
Hitting Recap: Jan Hernandez cleared the bases with a three-run triple in the bottom of the eighth for the only scoring of the game. Hernandez committed an error in the top of the inning that nearly led to a Greensboro run... Mark Laird had two more hits, upping his season average to .354 with Lakewood.
Pitching Recap: Franklyn Kilome struck out 10 without issuing a walk, and gave up just two hits - both singles - over six innings of work. Kilome got off to a tough start with Lakewood this season, but finishes the year with a 3.85 ERA... Zach Morris threw a one-two-three inning in the seventh, but gave up two singles and a walk to load the bases in the eighth before getting Stone Garrett to ground out to second to end the inning... Sutter McLoughlin was perfect in the ninth, striking out the first two hitters he faced, to get the save.
BlueClaws Notes: BlueClaws starting pitchers have a streak of 24 straight scoreless innings, six innings each from Kilome, Alberto Tirado, Seranthony Dominguez and Jose Taveras. Those four have combined for 38 strikeouts, 10 each from Kilome, Tirado and Taveras, and eight from Dominguez, in those games. Harold Arauz (5-6) looks to extend the streak when he starts the season finale on Monday... Pitching match-ups for the playoff series against Hagerstown haven't been announced yet.
Short-Season A - State College [Cardinals] 3, Williamsport 2

Pitching Recap: Bailey Falter threw five innings, giving up two earned runs in his final start of the season. Falter finishes the year with a 3.17 ERA... Tyler Hallead looked like he would make it through three innings without giving up a run, until Tommy Erdman, who led off with a walk in the eight, stole second with two outs and Jeremy Martinez delivered an RBI single.
Crosscutters Notes: The Crosscutters have 52 hits in their last four games... The annual Saw-Bucks Series goes to the Crosscutters, who have won six of the nine games in the series so far, with the tenth and final game Monday at Williamsport.
Rookie - GCL Phillies 4, GCL Braves 3
The Phillies held on to beat the Braves 4-3 in the GCL Division Championship. The Phils and Cardinals will meet for the GCL Chapionship.
