The Rome Braves beat Lakewood 6-1 Tuesday to tie the South Atlantic League Championship Series 1-1

After taking Game One in Rome, the Lakewood BlueClaws dropped Game Two 6-1 Tuesday night as the Braves tied the series one game a piece. Seranthony Dominguez had a rough start for the 'Claws, who now bring the series back to New Jersey.

The series is now tied 1-1 and heads to Lakewood for games three, four and five (if necessary).

Hitting Recap: Damek Tomscha had three of Lakewood's four hits, including a double and a home run. In the postseason, Tomscha is hitting .500 (6-for-12) with a home run and six RBI. He has also walked three times, while striking out just once... Mark Laird had the 'Claws other hit and is hitting .412 (7-for-17) in the postseason.

Pitching Recap: Seranthony Dominguez struggled through 4 1/3 innings, giving up four hits and a walk. He was also hurt by shaky defense that resulted in two of the five runs he allowed being unearned. Tomscha and catcher Deivi Grullon both made throwing errors in the bottom of the fifth... Edgar Garcia came on in relief of Dominguez and threw 1 2/3 innings of shutout ball, and Ismael Cabrera added a scoreless seventh inning. Blake Quinn allowed a run in the eighth.

BlueClaws Notes: Wednesday is a travel day for the two teams. Alberto Tirado starts for Lakewood in Game Three on Thursday and will be opposed by Rome's Kolby Allard. Harold Arauz will pitch for Lakewood on Friday, but Rome hasn't announced a starter... If Game Five is needed, Jose Taveras will start for the BlueClaws.
