Phillies prospect Dylan Cozens was involved in a brawl with teammate Boog Powell in the Dominican Winter League

A little ribbing in the clubhouse apparently went too far for Dylan Cozens, who took on a teammate in a fight. Cozens and Mariners prospect Boog Powell went at it.

If Dylan Cozens doesn't work out as a ball player, he may have a career in boxing. The Phillies outfield prospect got into an altercation with Mariners prospect Boog Powell Saturday in the Dominican Republic. The two are teammates in the Dominican Winter League, and Powell reportedly needed five stitches near his left eye to close a cut.

Powell and some Dominican players were reportedly riding Cozens about his inability to hit breaking pitches, and Cozens apparently had enough of the comments, which led to the two getting into the altercation.

Powell was suspended last June after testing positive for a banned substance. The ban was for 80 games.

The fight brings concerns about Cozens personality back into question. Prior to being drafted by the Phillies in the second round of the 2012 Draft. Cozens was kicked off his high school team at Desert Mountain High School and then transferred to Chaparral High School. Cozens had to serve a year of ineligibility because of the transfer.
