Major League Baseball unveiled uniform styles to be worn for Mother's Day, Fourth of July and other special event.

Specially designed uniforms for games played on holidays, and worn at the All-Star Game have become big business for Major League Baseball. The uniforms to be worn through out the 2017 season are now unveiled.

Major League Baseball alternative uniforms have been such a big hit that now, they'll be worn throughout the entire holiday weekend, rather than just on the day of each holiday. The new uniforms will be worn for Mother's Day, Memorial Day, Father's Day and Independence Day. Plus, uniforms centered around the MLB All-Star Game, which will be played in Miami this July, were also unveiled. Those uniforms include the Futures Game, Workout Day uniforms, Home Run Derby and Marlins-inspired game uniforms.

This year's all-star uniforms will feature new cap and sock designs, and players uniforms will include a star on one of the sleeves with a number in the middle, representing how many All-Star Games they've played in.

"We've gotten more progressive over the last couple of years, and that's in large part die to all the young stars in the game coming up. The All-Star Game had 20 kids under the age of 25 last year, and with these players making such a big impact on the game, they are very fashion-forward. It offered us the ability to have fun with it, be a little more fashion-forward, and they seem to enjoy it.

Major League Baseball donates the royalties from the jersey and hat sales to charities associated with each special event. This year, proceeds will go to The Susan G. Komen Foundation (Mother's Day), Prostate Cancer Foundation (Father's Day), Stand Up To Cancer (Mother's Day and Father's Day) and MLB Charities (Memorial Day and Independence Day).

The Mother's Day uniforms were first introduced last season, and will incorporate pink into the team's usual logo design. The hats will also feature a graphite colored crown and pink brim. Some players have even used pink bats, worn pink ribbon decals and pink wristbands for the event. The Father's Day theme uniforms feature light blue incorporated into the logos for prostate cancer awareness. The hats will a blue crown and graphite colored visor. Many players also add blue wristbands to the uniform.

Uniforms for Memorial Day feature a woodland camouflage design, with the hats and jerseys matching. MLB also plans special pre-game ceremonies and a moment of silence as part of the National Moment of Rememberance. It's the ninth season that MLB has had special Memorial Day uniforms. The Fourth of July uniforms feature stars and stripes on the caps, with red, white and blue team logos. Clubs will also wear a matching jersey, and this season, the socks will also match the rest of the uniform with a stars-and-stripes pattern. The Blue Jays will wear red alternate jerseys with a red Maple Leaf cap on Canada Day, July 1st.

The uniforms for the Futures Game, Workout Day and the Home Run Derby will all be the same and are inspired by the Marlins uniforms, because of the game being played in Miami. American League jerseys will primarily be blue, with a black accent over the shoulders from sleeve-to-sleeve. National League jerseys will have the same pattern, but with an orange base. The hats will be black with the team logos in orange and a colorful All-Star Game logo on the sides.

For the All-Star Game, the hats will feature a gold team logo with differing shadow tech heather-colored crowns and the All-Star Game logo patch on the side.
