In Lakewood, Sixto Sanchez (pictured) and Harold Arauz combined to throw a three-hit shutout against Kannapolis, as the 'Claws won 2-0.

All four of the Phillies minor league affiliates were in action Sunday. Unfortunately, the only good news came out of Lakewood, where the BlueClaws used big pitching performances to take a 2-0 win over Kannapolis.

AAA: Lehigh Valley 4, Toledo [Detroit] 6

WP: Warwick Saupold (1-0), LP: Ricardo Pinto (2-2), SV: Arcenio Leon (6)

HR: LV - Nick Williams (2); TOL - none

Hitter's Notes: J.P. Crawford went 1-for-4, giving him a five-game hitting streak, during which he's batting .300 (6-for-20). The stretch has picked his average up from .089 to .145... Williams had a double and a home run in the game... Roman Quinn stole his fifth base of the season, moving him into second place in the organization, behind Daniel Brito, who has six.

Pitcher's Notes: Pinto: 5 IP, 4 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 3 BB, 3 K... Adam Morgan: 1 IP, 1 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 1 K. Morgan's ERA with Lehigh Valley is now at 6.43 this season... Pat Venditte threw two more scoreless innings, giving him a season line of: 11 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 7 BB, 14 K.

'Pigs Notes: Lehigh Valley may have lost Nick Pivetta to the Phillies, but they gained starting pitcher Tyler Viza from the Reading Fightins. They also added reliever Luis Garcia, who was optioned to the IronPigs to make room for Pivetta in the 25-man roster. They'll have to make an additional move to find a roster spot for Viza when he is officially added to the IronPigs roster in time for the three-game series against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, which opens Tuesday.

AA: Portland [Red Sox] 1, Reading 0

WP: Jalen Beeks (3-1), LP: Joey DeNato (1-1), SV: Jamie Callahan (2)

HR: POR - none; RDG - none

Hitter's Notes: Jiandido Tromp had two of the five Reading hits. Tromp doubled and reached third in the fifth inning, but Reading couldn't push him across. He also singled after a Mitch Walding walk in the seventh, but again, Reading failed to push a runner in from scoring position.

Pitcher's Notes: Shane Watson got the start and worked five innings, allowing four hits and two walks, striking out three... DeNato gave up two hits in the sixth, but no runs. After walking Tzu-Wei Lin to start the seventh, DeNato was lifted in favor of Alexis Rivero, who gave up a wild pitch and a base-hit, allowing Lin to score... Reading pitchers gave up 10 hits and four walks, but only one run. They struck out six batters.

'Fightins Notes: Watson was "reassigned" to Reading from Williamsport... The two teams combined for seven home runs in the first two games of the series.

Pitcher's Notes: Not a particularly good day for Threshers pitchers. Edgar Garcia was the only one of four Clearwater pitchers to not give up an earned run on the day, but he did allow an unearned run... Starter Blake Quinn: 3 2/3 IP, 6 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 3 BB, 3 K.

Threshers Notes: Clearwater leads the Phillies organization in both team batting (.267) and ERA (2.43). They also lead the organization in wins with 16... RHP Blake Quinn was reassigned to Clearwater from the Williamsport Crosscutters, while RHP Ranfi Casimiro was placed on the Williamsport roster after being with Clearwater.
