RRSports Collectables Report

This week, there are some interesting products from not only baseball, but football and hockey, too. Here's where you get the latest on the new releases in the collectables market.

Sorry I missed last week. I had a procedure done on my shoulder and was out of it for some time, but am back at the computer again. It's down to cut week for the teams and people are trying to do their best to impress coaches and managers. I liked what I saw of Drew Carpenter against the Yankees. He should be in Philadelphia next year and will stay as a starter. He is one of those guys that can eat up a lot of innings, even though the doesn't have the best pure stuff, he's a smart pitcher.

We have a few things to cover this week, so why not get started.

Sage Football is the first football set to hit the shelves this year. If you're looking to hit it off right, this is the product to get and sit back and wait for the draft. Whatever you do, hang onto the top receivers, running backs and quarterbacks. These will be your value in the draft. You can find autographs, jersey swatches, and combinations of the two in the boxes. These will be going for between $70 and $80 a box.

Next we have an excellent product that's a favorite of mine. Upper Deck Mini Jersey Hockey. In each pack you will get a mini jersey of your favorite players. The boxes go for around $120. A little on the pricey side, but the jerseys are great. Also you will find autograph and jersey cards in the packs, plus a jersey in each pack.

The last item I have is a special edition Yankees All Star batting helmet. These go for around $20.00 and are really a nice edition to every memorabilia collection and since this will be the last year for Yankee Stadium, this is a keeper of a collectable. If you get a chance, pick one up and just think of the history of Yankee Stadium, including greats like Ruth, Mantle, Gehrig, Dimaggio, and on and on.

If you have any questions about this or any other article, feel free to write to me at RRSPORTS1@YAHOO.COM.

By the way, I have just acquired a collection of WWII, Japanese and Civil War items that I will be putting out on the market, so if you're interested in any of the items they can be viewed starting late Sunday on RSVINTAGESPORTS on eBay.
