RRSports Collectables Report

There are some new products hitting the market that may be of interest to fans of both baseball and football. You can even pick up some items featuring the stars of tomorrow.

Well, shoulder surgery put my article on hold for a while, but I'm working my way back and am at least able to bring you some news of new releases in the collectibles world. During my recovery, I've also been following the Phils and see an improvement. I have also been following their minors closely and there are a lot of injuries that have hurt them and Tyler Mach and Jarrod Freeman not returning has also hurt. It's a shame about both of the, because I had witnessed some really good things from Mach and he was an exciting player to watch. Freeman just needed to be injury free.

Now, onto the collectibles news.

Topps series 2 is $3.00 a pack and $70 a box and feature new autographed relics, along with dual relics. Historical campaign cut signatures and silk parallels are really nice and only available in hobby boxes. The Topps 2 Jumbo is $10 a pack and $100 a box and are a better bang for your buck. Each box is guaranteed an autograph, and a relic card.

Upper Deck series 2 is out and costs $5 pack and $75 a box and features one game piece and one autographed card per box. The Upper Deck USA Baseball team set is an excellent product. You may not recognize most of the players, but by the end of the draft you will. USA Baseball will set you back $60 a box for the set plus seven autographs per box and two game used items per box.

Finally, there's Sage autographed football which costs $12 a pack and $140 a box, but features an autograph per pack with all the top players in the draft. Also, there are two game used items per box, so you get a lot, but the price is a little high.

That's all for this week. If you have any questions or comments feel free to e-mail me at RRSPORTS@YAHOO.COM Thanks for the e-mails that I've received and I hope to keep hearing from you.
