Taylor, Gump Coming To Philly Baseball News

If you're a die-hard fan, you want to know everything you can about the Phillies prospects. Now, Philly Baseball News is putting you in touch with two top prospects, who are at the opposite ends of the minor league ladder.

The Phillies have some depth when it comes to outfield prospects and Philly Baseball News has recruited two of the best to join our team.

Lehigh Valley IronPigs outfielder Michael Taylor and Gulf Coast League outfielder Brian Gump will both be giving fans an inside look at their careers with frequent articles directly from the prospects. Taylor and Gump will write about whatever strikes them as interesting and fans will be able to send e-mails to either player and potentially have them answered in an upcoming article.

Taylor, who some in the Phillies organization deemed untouchable at the trade deadline, started the season at Double-A Reading and is now at Triple-A Lehigh Valley. The powerful right-handed hitter came into the season ranked as the ninth best prospect in the organization by Philly Baseball News and will certainly be ranked higher in our next list, which will come out over the winter.

Gump is new to the organization, having been drafted in the 26th round of last June's draft out of UC-Santa Barbara. In his first professional season, Gump is hitting .326 in the GCL and has an impressive .400 on-base percentage.

Watch for articles from both Taylor and Gump beginning soon and continuing throughout the offseason on Philly Baseball News.
