Swap of Halladay and Lee not official

The swap of Roy Halladay and Cliff Lee isn't official - yet. The deal is in the works though and would seem to have a pretty good chance of going through.

6:09 p.m.: First, the latest word is that the Phillies would send Cliff Lee to Seattle for minor league pitcher Phillippe Aumont. Aumont wouldn't be staying long though, because the Phillies would combine him with catching prospect Travis D'Arnaud and outfielder Michael Taylor to get Roy Halladay from Toronto.

It would appear that Seattle may also send a couple prospects to the Phillies as part of the deal. Speculation is that the players involved would be pitcher Brandon Morrow and/or outfielder Michael Saunders.

Please keep in mind that the details of this deal are unofficial.

We do know that Halladay and his agent are in Philadelphia for a physical and to negotiate a potential extension on his contract with the Phillies. The deal appears to be contingent on the two sides agreeing to a long-term extension.
