Key Statistics: SS-2B Anna 1-4, 2B; RF J. Decker 1-2, 2 RBI; C Hagerty 1-2, BB; RHP Reyes 3.0IP 2H BB 2Ks; RHP Mikolas (L) 0.2 IP 2H 2ER K.
Prospect Watch Not a whole lot to write about as the T-Padres lose a doubleheader...Second straight bad outing by Tim Stauffer who has now given up seven earned runs in 6.2 innings in both of his starts...It's early but a nice start by Jaff Decker with a .943 OPS in 22 plate appearances...Jorge Reyes appears seems much better suited to the bullpen with as many strikeouts as innings pitched.

Tulsa Drillers 6 - Missions 2
Key Statistics: LF Williams 2-4, 2B, RBI, BB, SB; 1B Medica 2-5, HR, RBI; C Rodriguez 2-4; LHP DePaula (L) 5.1 IP 6H, 3R, 2 ER, 4K, HRs
Prospect Watch: So far moving to the Wolff has not affected Tommy Medica, seven games with five extra-base hits...In the off-season a few of us thought there was a possibility that Everett Williams would be released but so far going home to Texas has really helped him as he filled up the box score tonight...tough night for DePaula with three unearned runs...through the first seven games of the season the Missions' pitching staff has a team ERA of 1.91.
Storm 3 - Inland Empire 66ers 0
Key Statistics: RF Asencio 1-4, HR; CF Jankowski 2-3, BB,2B; SS Peterson 1-4, 2 RBI; RHP Wisler (W) 5.0 IP 3H, 6Ks; RHP Lara 1.0 IP, BB, 2Ks.
Prospect Watch: Another strong start by Matt Wisler who has yet to allow a run in either of his starts..Jankowski is off to a great start hitting .435 along with Cory Spangenberg who has nine steals in the first seven games..ask anyone in the Padres‘ organization about Yeison Ascencio and they all say whatever age he may be, he can really hit.
TinCaps 4 - Lake County Captains 0 (6 innings, rain shortened)
Key Statistics: C Phillips 2-3, 2B, BB; CF Adams 1-2, 2B; 2B Tissenbaum 1-3, 2B; RHP Ross (W) 5.0 IP H, BB, 8Ks.
Prospect Watch:Last year, although he pitched very well in Eugene, Joe Ross didn't win one game. This season in his first two starts he has won both and he's pitching very well with a 12/2 K/BB ratio in 10.0 innings pitched...Dane Phillips, a second round pick in the 2012 draft struggled in Eugene but is off to a hot start in Fort Wayne at .308/.412/.692 and his backup Rodney Daal is also hitting at .364/.364/.455.
