North Gwinnett High School (GA) defensive end Anree Saint-Amour was a recent visitor to Georgia Tech for their Junior Day. Since the visit, Anree he has stayed in contact with the Tech coaches. Anree talked to GoJackets about his visit and more.
The visit to Tech allowed Anree to see the facilities as well as the academic side of things. "I talked with Coach (Paul) Johnson about what he is looking for in a player and how he sees me as a student-athlete at Georgia Tech." The visit gave Anree a good idea what it would be like as a football player at Georgia Tech. "It was nice that the players talked to us about life at the school. I liked that."
Coach Johnson and defensive line coach Mike Pelton let Anree know that they like him at the weakside defensive end position.
Anree has also established a good relationship with his recruiting coach and Tech defensive coordinator, Ted Roof. "We stay in contact with one another." Anree had just talked to Coach Roof prior to our conversation with him. "He says he really likes my play and wants me to be at Georgia Tech."
A return visit to Tech to watch them practice is the only visit plans Anree has for the spring. "That is one of the things Coach Roof and I talk about when we talk."
When making his college decision, Anree will be looking for a school with strong academics as well as a good football program. "I want a school with good coaches that I can get along with and players that are like family." Anree is not looking to go too far away from home in making his choice.
"I'd like to take some time and make a good sound decision. I'll possibly take some official visits after my season ends."
