Davis hoping for strong finish

Three months have passed since the Mets dealt Ike Davis to Pittsburgh. Davis is mired in one of those deep slumps -- hitting .182 since June 1. He has hit only four home runs in 211 at-bats with the Pirates. He is batting .234 with five home runs and 28 RBI. Davis recently told PiratesDugout.com's George Von Benko that he has high hopes for a strong finish at the plate.
