GVB – Once again Pirates' minor league pitcher of the year. Are you excited about winning the award again?
TG – I appreciate the award, it means a lot to me it really does.
GVB – You were injured at the beginning of the year and got off to a slow start. But you wound up putting up some great numbers. Were you pleased with the season you had?
TG – I was pleased, especially coming in and struggling a little bit. I knew I had to kind of turn things around and get in that routine and that really helped. Each start I just seemed to get more consistent, and it was more of a life style with the routine. It ended up being a really good year.
GVB – Is the consistency what pleases you the most?
TG – Yeah, there were a couple of bad starts in between, but obviously that's going to happen, but I'm just really glad I could end up doing well from kind of a shaky start in the beginning.
GVB – You were Florida State League pitcher of the year and were on the All Star team. Were you pleased with the recognition?
TG – You don't want to look to far into it, but I'm definitely really proud.
GVB – Were you pleased with your fastball command, and how are the secondary pitches coming along?
TG – That's something I worked on a lot this year. The whole year it was pretty change up heavy, the confidence with that pitch is a lot higher then it was last year. Now it's kind of incorporating the curveball in there and just really staying on that routine.
GVB – Are you looking forward to the Arizona Fall League?
TG – I definitely looking out there, I'm looking to have some fun and go out and just compete with my team and hopefully we can do pretty well.
GVB – Are you pleased with the progress that you've been making through the Pirates' minor league system?
TG – Yeah, definitely. I don't want to look too far into the future, just take it one year, one start at a time, but I'm pleased with what's going on.
