Brad Lincoln, once regarded as the Pirates' top pitching prospect, has signed a minor-league contract with Pittsburgh.
P>Lincoln was drafted No. 4 overall in 2006 and made his major league debut for Pittsburgh in June 2010. He appeared in parts of the next two seasons before the Bucs traded him to Toronto for outfielder Travis Snider
Lincoln, 29, was outrighted to the minors on April 12 after making two appearances for Philadelphia at the start of the 2014 season.
The right-handed Lincoln is 9-11 with a 4.74 ERA in 99 career appearances in the majors. He has 169 strikeouts in 222 1/3 innings.
