Lefty Lobstein is trying to hang on to a bullpen spot with Pirates

Kyle Lobstein threw two scoreless innings on April 5, striking out the side in the eleventh inning against the Cardinals. The relief win was the first of his career. But he has struggled since then.

Lobstein gave up a two run home run against the Reds and was tagged for three runs in an 8-2 loss to the Tigers.

He's hanging on by a thread as the last bullpen arm. Lobstein is expected to be sent to Triple-A when reliever Jared Hughes returns from the DL.
