Duke Trying to Find Groove

Bradenton-- Left-hander Zach Duke who is projected as the possible starting pitcher for opening day had another tough outing at McKechnie Field on Sunday.

Duke making his third start of the spring was tagged for six runs - five of them earned runs by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in four innings of work. Duke surrendered five hits and he did not record a strikeout.

Duke had a no decision against Atlanta on March 7 as he tossed three innings and gave up two runs on seven hits. He also received a no decision against Washington on March 3 as he gave up one run in two innings of work.
