SSA: Spokane 6 - Yakima 1
W - Rojas (1-0)
Indians win 2-0 (best of three)

Spokane swept its way to a Northwest League East Division title and a championship series berth on Tuesday evening.

Consistent starting pitcher Randol Rojas earned the victory, as he limited Yakima to one run over six innings. The 19-year-old scattered six hits, walked one, and struck out four.

The Indians' offense jumped on top early by plating four runs in the bottom of the first inning.

Ryan Strausborger was hit by a pitch to lead off the first. Jared Hoying then walked, and third baseman Mike Olt belted a two-run double to right field. Just like that, Spokane led 2-0 with nobody out.

Olt would go 1-for-2 with a double, two walks, and two runs scored.

DH Josh Richmond went 1-for-4 with a double and a run batted in.

Hoying (1/3, BB) and Santiago Chirino (1/4) had the club's other knocks.

The Indians had only four total hits in the game but were helped out by nine free passes and a hit batsman. Andrew Clark, Jake Skole and Jurickson Profar all went hitless but walked twice.

Relievers Tim Steggall, Jimmy Reyes and Colby Killian closed it out by hurling one scoreless inning apiece.

Spokane will face the Everett AquaSox in the best-of-three championship series. They'll play game one at home on Thursday before taking a day off and hitting the road for the final two.
