Winterball Roundup - 11/30

Estrellas de Oriente first baseman Chris Davis reached base three more times on Tuesday evening, raising his average to .311. Lone Star Dugout takes a look at all of the day's winterball action.

Venezuelan Winter League

The league's All-Star Game was played on Tuesday evening. They'll resume regular-season contests on Wednesday.

Liga Paralela (Venezuela Minor League)

Caracas shortstop Edwin Garcia (.229/.341/.314) singled once and walked once in four trips. The 19-year-old has five free passes (and one HBP) in 41 plate appearances thus far.

La Guaira's Renny Osuna (.265/.280/.429) played in center field once again and was 0-for-5 with a run batted in.

Dominican Winter League

Aguilas Cibaenas left fielder Julio Borbon was 1-for-4 with a walk and his third stolen base. The 24-year-old is 13-for-34 (.382) through his first eight contests this winter.

Esteban German played left field for the Toros del Este and had one single and one RBI in four trips.

Estrellas cleanup man Chris Davis (.311/.380/.644) continued to shine by going 1-for-3 with a double and two walks. After going his first nine games without drawing a free pass, Davis now has four in his last three contests.

Engel Beltre went hitless in four trips, dropping his average to .351. The 21-year-old is still without a walk in 22 games with Licey.

Puerto Rican Winter League

One day after appearing as a defensive replacement, outfielder Miguel Velazquez got his first start of the winterball campaign. The left fielder batted seventh for Ponce and went 1-for-3 with a walk in four plate appearances.

Ponce won by scoring the game's only run in the bottom of the 11th inning. Reliever Adalberto Flores contributed to the 11-inning shutout with two scoreless innings of relief. The right-hander didn't yield a hit, walked one, and struck out two.

Mexican Pacific League

No Rangers appeared on Tuesday.
