Winterball Roundup - 12/12

The Dominican Republic and Puerto Rican Winter Leagues played each other in an All-Star Game on Sunday while Venezuela and Mexico had a full slate of games. Lone Star Dugout takes a look at all of the day's winterball action.

Venezuelan Winter League

Caracas right-hander Guillermo Moscoso needed 78 pitches to complete four innings, but he was able to limit the overall damage. The starter yielded one run on one hit in four innings, walking four and striking out four. He lowered his earned-run average to 3.03 through 35.2 innings.

Magallanes shortstop Andres Blanco went 1-for-4 and stole his fifth base of the winterball season.

La Guaira's Max Ramirez was 0-for-3, lowering his average to .304.

Liga Paralela (Venezuela Minor League)

Caracas shortstop Edwin Garcia (.200/.342/.267) played the first seven innings and went 0-for-1 with a walk and a strikeout.

Dominican Winter League

The Liga Dominican All-Stars traveled to Puerto Rico to face the Puerto Rican Winter League All-Stars, though no Rangers appeared in the game.

Puerto Rican Winter League

No Rangers appeared in Sunday's All-Star Game.

Mexican Pacific League

Guasave catcher Jose Felix batted eighth and went 1-for-4 with a run batted in. The 22-year-old is hitting .267 (4-for-15) through six winterball contests.
