The Liga Paralela championship was decided in Venezuela on Wednesday while catcher Jose Felix threw out yet another runner in Mexico. Lone Star Dugout takes a look at all of the day's winterball action.

Renny Osuna finished his Liga Paralela campaign on a positive note, and that hot hand is apparently carrying back over to the big club. The La Guaira third baseman went 2-for-3 with an RBI in Wednesday's game. DH Max Ramirez singled once in four at-bats.

Magallanes leadoff man and centerfielder Endy Chavez (.238/.316/.295) went 1-for-5 with a double and an RBI. The two-bagger was just his third (and fourth overall extra-base hit) in 121 plate appearances.

Erold Andrus saw action as a late-inning replacement in right field. He didn't have a plate appearance.

The Rangers recently signed both Chavez and Andrus to minor league contracts.

Liga Paralela (Venezuela Minor League)

The Bravos took home the 2010 Liga Paralela championship with a 4-3 victory over Caracas on Wednesday morning. Caracas shortstop and Rangers farmhand Edwin Garcia struck out in both of his plate appearances.

Dominican Winter League

Aguilas Cibaenas centerfielder Julio Borbon (.241/.313/.310) batted out of the five hole and went hitless in four at-bats, striking out once. The 24-year-old has punched out 12 times over his last eight contests.

The Aguilas/Escogido contest was the only game of the night in the Dominican Republic.

Puerto Rican Winter League

No Rangers appeared on Wednesday.

Mexican Pacific League

Mazatlan had just six baserunners in Wednesday's game against Culiacan, but second baseman Brian Barden had a single and a walk in four trips.

Algodoneros de Guasave backstop Jose Felix saw his average drop to .222 after he went 0-for-4, but he did gun down another attempted base stealer. The 22-year-old is 6-for-7 in throwing out runners thus far in Mexico.
