Arizona Fall League: Surprise – (@) Phoenix – Canceled (Wet Grounds)

The Saguaros and Desert Dogs were washed out due to wet grounds in Phoenix on Tuesday afternoon. Surprise will look to clinch a spot in the AFL Championship Game with a win at Peoria on Wednesday.

Venezuelan Winter League

Dominican Winter League

Licey's Engel Beltre helped carry his club to a 7-5 victory over the rival Aguilas Cibaenas, as he went 3-for-4 with a double and two runs scored. In his first 13 games, Beltre is now 7-for-27 (.259) with two doubles, four walks, and six strikeouts.

Julio Borbon had a single and two strikeouts in four at-bats for Escogido. He played batted sixth and played left field, where he committed a fielding error but also picked up an outfield assist by gunning down a runner at home plate.

Mexican Pacific League

Cody Eppley (3.38 ERA/.241 BAA) earned yet another save for Obregon on Tuesday after he worked a perfect 11-pitch ninth inning with one strikeout. Although the 26-year-old got off to a relatively slow start in Mexico, he has now tossed 1-2-3 innings in each of his last four appearances.

Eppley has 19 strikeouts in 16 innings and seven saves in his 15 appearances for the Yaquis. He is also inducing 4.4 groundouts per flyout with his sidearm 88-91 mph sinker.

Puerto Rican Winter League

No Rangers appeared in Tuesday's games.
