Licey's Engel Beltre entered as a pinch hitter in the seventh inning and singled once in two at-bats, raising his winterball average to .294.

Carlos Pimentel (0.61 ERA/.070 BAA) retired all four batters he faced against the Toros, striking out three. The 21-year-old lefty has a phenomenal stat-line so far––14.2 ip, 3 h, 1 er, 9 bb, 19 k.
