On Wednesday, Aragua shortstop Luis Hernandez continued his hot-hitting ways by going 1-for-3 with a walk from the bottom of the lineup. In his two postseason games thus far, Hernandez is 6-for-8 with a base on balls. Second baseman Yangervis Solarte, who batted seventh, was hitless with a walk in four trips.
On Tuesday, Escogido's Julio Borbon batted leadoff and went 0-for-2 with a walk before being lifted in the seventh inning. He played in left field and hit in the eight-hole on Wednesday, going 0-for-3 with two strikeouts.
Engel Beltre entered in left field as a late-inning defensive replacement for Licey on Wednesday but didn't get a plate appearance.
The Mexican Pacific League was dark on Tuesday. The circuit played a full playoff schedule on Monday, and Guasave catcher Jose Felix grounded out in his only plate appearance––with one on and nobody out in the bottom of the ninth inning.
No Rangers appeared in the games on Tuesday or Wednesday.
