Ponce catcher Zach Zaneski raised his batting average to .300 with a three-hit performance on Wednesday. Lone Star Dugout takes a look at all of the day's winterball action in the Texas Rangers' system.

Dominican Winter League

There were no games in the Dominican Republic on Wednesday. The circuit begins its round-robin postseason on Thursday, which includes the Aguilas Cibaenas, Estrellas de Oriente, Leones del Escogido, and Toros del Este.

Rangers infield prospect Leury Garcia, who played with Cibao during the regular season, has been added to the Aguilas roster for the playoffs. The Aguilas also have sidearming reliever Johan Yan. While right-hander Lisalverto Bonilla is on the Escogido roster, he has not appeared in a game since December 8.

Venezuelan Winter League

The Venezuelan circuit was also dark on Wednesday. Its regular season concludes on December 30.

Liga Paralela (Venezuela Minor League)

The Liga Paralela season concluded on Friday with Magallanes finishing off Tampa Bay in the best-of-three championship series.

Mexican Pacific League

Algodoneros de Guasave catcher Jose Felix (.317/.337/.415) singled twice in four at-bats. The 24-year-old Mexico native has appeared in 27 games this winter, going 26-for-82 with eight doubles. He's drawn two walks and whiffed nine times.

Behind the plate on Wednesday, Felix threw out one of two attempted base stealers.

Puerto Rican Winter League

Hot-hitting Ponce catcher Zach Zaneski raised his batting average to an even .300 with his second consecutive three-hit performance. After going 3-for-5 on Wednesday, Zaneski is now 12-for-40 with a pair of doubles in 14 games.
