Rangers Minor League Roundup – 4/22

High-A Myrtle Beach starting pitcher Luke Jackson turned in another strong effort on Monday, as he tossed six scoreless innings. Lone Star Dugout takes a look at all of the day's minor league action in the Texas Rangers' system.

AAA: Round Rock 5 – New Orleans 6
L - Tateyama (0-1)
HR - Olt (1)

Rangers prospect Mike Olt continued the gradual climb out of his early-season slump on Monday, as he went 1-for-4 with his first home run of the season.

The Express lost, however, 6-5 to the Zephyrs.

Round Rock starting pitcher Brad Mills was knocked around for four runs on 11 hits in six innings. He struck out four without walking a batter.

Sidearming righty Yoshinori Tateyama was saddled with the loss after he surrendered two runs on three hits and a walk in two-thirds of an inning.

Leadoff man Engel Beltre (2/5) and shortstop Jurickson Profar (2/5) both singled twice. Profar also committed his third error of the season, coming on a throw.

Catcher Robinson Chirinos has continued to hit well since coming over from Tampa Bay. The backstop reached base safely in all four of his plate appearances, getting a single and three free passes.

Neal Cotts (0.1 IP), Richard Bleier (1 IP), and Cory Burns (1 IP) finished the game with 2.1 scoreless frames.

Third baseman Alex Buchholz (1/4, HR) brought home Frisco's only run with his solo round-tripper in the top of the second inning.

Zach Zaneski (1/3, 2B) and Teodoro Martinez (1/3, 2B) both doubled once.

Cutter/slider specialist Randy Henry was once again solid in relief of Buckel, as he worked three innings and yielded just an unearned run. Henry gave up two hits, walked one, and struck out one.
