Georgia star athlete gets U of L offer

One of the top prospects in the Class of 2016 - Savannah, Ga., athlete Demetrius Robertson - now has an offer from the University of Louisville. Robertson holds more than 20 offers.

The University of Louisville football staff has offered many of the top prospects in the Class of 2015 and now are looking harder at the '16 and making offers.

On Tuesday night, defensive coordinator Todd Grantham made an offer to one of the best prospects nationally in the '16 class.

Savannah, Ga., Country Day athlete Demetris Robertson added the Cardinals to his growing list of more than 20 scholarship offers. He also has offers from Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Georgia, USC, UCLA, Stanford, LSU, Ohio State and more.

According to national analyst Chad Simmons, the 6-foot-1, 180 pound playmaker plans to visit UCLA tomorrow, USC on Thursday and then head to visit Stanford. He's already visited Alabama and several other places.

Simmons said Robertson will be named a Scout 100 member in the near future when Scout releases its initial 2016 rankings.

As a sophomore, Robertson caught 36 passes for 560 yards and six touchdowns on offense and as a cornerback had 90 tackles and two interceptions. He also returns kicks and added two TDs there.
