Bralon Hutchison is a versatile player for La Grange High School.
As a junior in 2013, Hutchison ran for more than 1,000 yards and 13 touchdowns, while spending some time on defense for a 13-1 La Grange squad that reached the 3A Division I state semifinals before losing to eventual state champion Carthage.
College programs have taken notice of Hutchison's strong junior season. The 5-foot-11, 170-pounder has picked up six FBS offers during the past few months.
So far, Hutchison has visited only one of the schools that have offered him.
"I've been to North Texas. That's the only college visit I've been to," Hutchison said. "I kinda want to go to Duke and check that out. I'll probably go to my Texas offers."
Hutchison said North Texas wants him as a running back, which is where the majority of his interest has come, though some schools have talked to him about playing in the secondary without specifying whether that would be cornerback or safety.
Hutchison said TCU and Texas both think he's a running back.
Hutchison emphasized the education aspect of his recruitment. He plans to major in business marketing or a similar field.
"Good academics and good football program," Hutchison said regarding what he's looking for in a school. "Somewhere I could go and play kinda early and get me to the next level."
