Pitcher Luis Mendoza winds up in the top of the third inning. His start was a rocky one, allowing seven runs on eight hits while failing to make it out of the Midland half of the fourth. As a result, the quick working righty saw his earned run average balloon to almost 6.00. But thanks to a high-powered Frisco offense, he finished the day with a no decision and his record still stands at an undefeated 6-0.
John Mayberry Jr. takes a practice cut in the on-deck circle. He batted eighth in the lineup and started in right field, and his first day of Double-A duty consisted of a 1 for 4 afternoon with a RBI double. He also grounded out to third, and popped out in foul territory twice.

Frisco catcher Salomon Manriquez stole the show with his performance at the plate for the 'Riders. He finished with a 4 for 5 afternoon that included two three-run homeruns, his 10th and 11th of the year. The second of those blasts propelled the Roughriders to victory in the bottom of the ninth.

A 9th inning double by Brandon Boggs would set up the game-winning homerun for the Roughriders. He would also collect a solo homerun in the bottom half of the 5th over the wall in the right field corner. In all, the Roughriders would hit four homeruns in the game.
