Winterball Roundup - 10/9

Tuesday marked the beginning of two more winter circuits -- the Arizona Fall League and the Mexican Pacific League. Lone Star Dugout takes a look at the day's winterball action.

Four Rangers prospects saw action on the opening day of the Arizona Fall League.

Third baseman Chris Davis – who hit cleanup – was the only one to reach base. He was 1-for-3 with a base on balls.

Second baseman German Duran (0/4) and right fielder John Mayberry (0/3) each went hitless.

Left-handed reliever Danny Herrera tossed 1 1/3 innings of scoreless ball. He gave up no hits, walked one, and struck out one.

Mexican Winter League


Brandon Boggs played in the season opener for Mexicali and was 0-for-4 with a walk and a stolen base. The Georgia Tech product ledoff and played centerfield.
