Winterball Roundup - 10/24

Elvis Andrus had another solid day in the Arizona Fall League on Wednesday while outfielders Jason Botts and Brandon Boggs continued to tear through the Mexican Pacific League. Lone Star Dugout takes a look at all of the day's winterball action.

Hawaii Winter Baseball: West Oahu 6 – North Shore 7
6-14-1, 8.5 GB


West Oahu first baseman Ian Gac (.293/.388/.517) went 2-for-4 with a double – his fourth – and an RBI on Wednesday night.

Right fielder K.C. Herren (.208/.276/.340) also doubled. He went 1-for-4 and drove in a pair of runs.
Craig Gentry (.182/.286/.273) was hitless in four trips.

Arizona Fall League: Surprise 7 – Peoria Saguaros 11
10-4, 3.0 GU


Elvis Andrus (.300/.333/.450 in 20 at bats) singled twice in five at-bats for the Rafters on Wednesday.

Shortstop German Duran (1/5) and catcher Taylor Teagarden (1/4, BB) each had one hit.

Left-handed reliever Danny Herrera allowed one run on three hits in 1 1/3 innings. It was his first run allowed in 5 2/3 AFL innings.

Mexican Winter League


Brandon Boggs (.347/.421/.388) added two more hits – including a double – and a walk on Wednesday evening.

Jason Botts (.365/.450/.654) continued to terrorize the Mexican Pacific League with a single, two doubles, and four RBI in five at-bats.

Venezuelan Winter League


No Rangers saw action on Wednesday.

Dominican Winter League


Freddy Guzman (.130/.167/.130 in 23 at-bats) was 0-for-4, striking out twice.
