The Bakersfield Blaze reached the .500 mark again by completing a three-game sweep of the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes. Lone Star Dugout takes a look at all of Wednesday's minor league action.

Nate Gold already has three home runs.
Sidney Ponson was hung with the loss despite pitching fairly well on Wednesday evening. The big league veteran gave up three runs on seven hits in 7 2/3 innings. He walked two and struck out three.

First baseman Nate Gold (.256/.375/.590) was 1-for-3 with a walk and his third home run of the season.

Shortstop Casey Benjamin was the only RedHawk with two hits. He went 2-for-3, boosting his average to .308.

2B Drew Meyer (1/2, BB) and catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia (1/3, BB) each reached base twice.

Robinson Tejeda fanned two in 1 1/3 perfect innings to finish the game for Oklahoma.

After two rough outings to start the season, Beau Jones (4.61 ERA/.245 BAA) pitched extremely well, helping the Blaze complete a three-game sweep over the Quakes.

Tracy is beginning to heat up.
Jones gave up just one run in six innings of work. He allowed three hits – all singles – while walking two and striking out four.

Second baseman Jose Vallejo (.357/.419/.464) extended his hitting streak to 12 games with a two-run homer in the bottom of the third inning. The round-tripper was the fifth of Vallejo's professional career.

Centerfielder Julio Borbon returned to the lineup and notched a pair of singles in four at-bats.

Left fielder Chad Tracy was a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles and two walks.

Grant Gerrard (1/3, 2B, BB) and Marcus Lemon (1/3, 2B, BB) also doubled.

Clayton Hamilton earned the save by allowing one run on one hit in three innings of relief.

Clinton pitchers, including Lueke, combined to strike out 15.
Neftali Feliz was successful by keeping the ball down in the zone on Wednesday, as he surrendered just two runs in five innings. Feliz, who recorded just one out in the air, walked two and struck out seven. He allowed four base hits.

Ian Gac (2/4, 2 2B, RBI) and Mitch Moreland (1/4, 2B, 3 RBI) combined to drive in all of Clinton's runs. With Moreland playing first base, Gac moved across the diamond to third.

Left fielder Tim Smith (.400/.525/.533) did not record an official at-bat. He walked in all four plate appearances, giving him nine free passes in nine games this season.

Righty Fabio Castillo allowed only one hit in three scoreless innings, striking out seven.

Closer Josh Lueke gave up one hit and struck out one while throwing up a blank frame.
