The Single-A Clinton LumberKings improved to an extremely impressive 30-11 mark with their victory on Tuesday evening. Lone Star Dugout takes a look at all of the day's minor league action.

AAA: Oklahoma 8 – New Orleans 2
W – Ramirez (5-3)

Elizardo Ramirez (4.17 ERA/.284 BAA) earned his fifth win of the season after surrendering two runs in seven innings of work. The former Cincinnati Reds hurler struck out four batters without issuing a walk.

Right fielder Nelson Cruz (.346/.474/.699) singled three times and drove in three runs.

Jason Ellison (2/4, 3B, BB) and Ryan Roberts (2/4, 3B) each tripled.

Catcher Taylor Teagarden was 1-for-2 with a double and two walks.

John Mayberry (1/4, 2B) also doubled. It was his seventh two-bagger at the Triple-A level.

Reliever Wes Littleton tossed a scoreless eighth inning before Warner Madrigal closed the door with a perfect ninth. Madrigal, who fanned two, was sitting in the 93-96 mph range with his fastball.

The Riders headed to Tulsa on Tuesday in preparation for a three-game set against the Drillers. Right-hander Thomas Diamond will toe the rubber for Frisco on Wednesday evening.

Lefty starter Derek Holland (2.45 ERA/.243 BAA) remained perfect on the season with six strong innings. The Wallace State product yielded two runs – one earned – on five hits. He struck out three without giving up a walk. Holland has not allowed more than two earned runs in any of his eight starts this season.

Third baseman Jonathan Greene, who is suddenly hitting .277, was 2-for-3 with a double and a walk. After getting off to an extremely slow start, Greene's OPS is all the way up to .851. He is 21-for-60 in May with 10 extra-base hits and 10 walks.

Jose Felix (1/4, 2B) and Miguel Alfonzo (1/3, 2B) each doubled while leadoff man Engel Beltre singled twice and stole his seventh base of the season.

Right fielder Mitch Moreland went 0-for-1, but he drew three free passes. The former Mississippi State Bulldog entered the game with just five walks in his first 110 at-bats.

Jorge Quintero (2 IP) and Ryan Tatusko (1 IP) each tossed scoreless ball to finish the victory.
