Winterball Roundup - 10/24

Julio Borbon had a big game in Friday's Arizona Fall League Rising Stars Showcase, getting hits in all three plate appearances. Lone Star Dugout takes a look at all of the day's winterball action.

Arizona Fall League: National Rising Stars 7 – American Rising Stars 6

Julio Borbon entered the game when he pinch hit for Yankees prospect Austin Jackson in the fifth inning. The Tennessee product ended up going 3-for-3 with a run batted in.

The Rangers' other representative in the game, relief pitcher John Bannister, did not play.

Mexican Pacific League

Left fielder Steve Murphy appeared in his first game with Obregon. He was 0-for-4 with a strikeout.

Murphy is playing on the same team as 2008 Frisco teammate Zack Parker.

Venezuelan Winter League

Right fielder Ben Harrison singled once in two at-bats for La Guaira. DH Max Ramirez struck out twice in four hitless at-bats.

Renny Osuna made a pinch hit appearance in the ninth inning and grounded out in his only plate appearance.

Dominican Winter League

Warner Madrigal pitched in his first game for Escogido. He struck out the side in one inning of work, allowing a solo home run to shortstop Sean Rodriguez.
