Julio Borbon raised his batting average to .310 with two singles in four at-bats. He also walked once and stole his sixth base.

Third baseman John Whittleman was 0-for-2 with two walks.

John Bannister (3.07 ERA/.250 BAA in 14.2 innings) yielded one run in two innings of relief.

DH Justin Smoak had a perfect day for the Peoria Javelinas, getting four singles in four at-bats.

Mexican Pacific League

Centerfielder Brandon Boggs was 0-for-4 with a base on balls.

Venezuelan Winter League

Cleanup hitter Max Ramirez was 2-for-4 with a triple – his first – and three runs batted in.

Ben Harrison (1/4, 2B) recorded his fifth extra-base hit in three games with a double.

Magallanes shortstop Elvis Andrus was 0-for-2 with two walks. It was his first action since November 1.

Dominican Winter League

Second baseman Jose Vallejo struck out in his only at-bat.

Reliever Joselo Diaz surrendered two runs on two hits in two-thirds of an inning.

Escogido reliever Warner Madrigal's Dominican Winter League struggles continued, as he gave up one run on two hits and a walk in one-third of an inning.

Puerto Rican Winter League

No Rangers appeared on Friday.
