Arizona Fall League: Surprise 4 – (@) Mesa 16

Three Rangers pitchers combined to give up 15 of Surprise's 16 runs on Wednesday.

Starter Willie Eyre was rocked for eight runs – seven earned – in 3.2 innings pitched.

Right-hander Andrew Laughter gave up a two-run homer in his one inning.

John Bannister coughed up five runs on five hits and a walk in just one frame.

Mexican Pacific League

No Rangers appeared on Wednesday.

Venezuelan Winter League

Shortstop Elvis Andrus went 0-for-3 with a base on balls.

Playing in a rain-shortened game, catcher Max Ramirez was 1-for-2 with a double and two runs batted in. Right fielder Ben Harrison went 0-for-1 with a walk.

Dominican Winter League

Nelson Cruz raised his batting average to .533 [8-for-15] with three hits – including a double – in four at-bats. He also swiped his first base of the Dominican Winter League campaign.

Jose Vallejo grounded into a fielder's choice in his lone at-bat.

Relief pitcher Alfredo Gonzalez (1.35 ERA/.280 BAA in 6.2 IP) held Cibao scoreless for one inning.

Puerto Rican Winter League

Ponce reliever Adalberto Flores was roughed up for four runs in one inning pitched on Wednesday.
