Joaquin Arias and Jarrod Saltalamacchia both played in their first Dominican Winter League games of the year on Monday. Lone Star Dugout takes a look at all of the day's winterball action.

Arizona Fall League: Surprise 4 – (@) Scottsdale 3

Centerfielder Julio Borbon singled in his only at-bat of the game. He also stole his seventh base and scored a run.

First baseman Chad Tracy was hitless in four plate appearances.

Beau Jones picked up his second victory of the Fall League season after hurling a perfect inning.

Mexican Pacific League

Third baseman German Duran had a rough day, as he went 0-for-4 in addition to committing his first error of the season.

Venezuelan Winter League

No Rangers appeared on Monday.

Dominican Winter League

Dustin Nippert (3.41 ERA/.259 BAA in 29 innings) earned his second victory in the Dominican by pitching five strong innings. The tall right-hander surrendered two runs on five hits, walking two and striking out four.

Right fielder Nelson Cruz was 1-for-4 with a run batted in.

Escogido second baseman Joaquin Arias played in his first game of the winter and singled once in four trips. Jarrod Saltalamacchia, also playing for Escogido, went 0-for-3 with a base on balls.

Puerto Rican Winter League

There were no games on Monday.
