Richard Bleier tossed a complete-game, two-hit shutout on Monday evening, and he needed every bit of that to earn the 1-0 victory.
The left-hander recorded 19 groundouts and five airouts in the game. He walked one and struck out three. Bleier retired the final 13 batters of the game.
First baseman Ian Gac provided the lone run with his solo homer in the top of the seventh.
Mauro Gomez (1/4, 2B) hit his 17th double.
Second baseman Matt Lawson (.293/.348/.425) singled once and walked once.

Wilfredo Boscan's ERA shot all the way up to 0.99 after he gave up four runs—two earned—on seven hits in 4.2 innings. He fanned three without issuing a walk.

Left fielder Cristian Santana is off to a very slow start, but he did go 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, and two RBIs on Monday.
