Arizona Fall League: Surprise 8 - Peoria Javelinas 6

The Rafters picked up a victory over the division-leading Javelinas on Thursday, thanks in large part to nine-hole hitter Marcus Lemon.

The centerfielder continued to flash his power stroke by hitting a grand slam off Peoria pitcher Anthony Varvaro in the first inning. On the game as a whole, he was 1-for-3 with that homer and those four runs batted in.

Mitch Moreland (0/4) and Doug Hogan (0/3, BB) both went hitless in the contest.

Mexican Pacific League

No Rangers appeared on Thursday.

Venezuelan Winter League

Max Ramirez's brutal slump continued, as he went hitless in four at-bats, dropping his average all the way down to .207. Ramirez has just one hit over his last six games.

Dominican Winter League

There were no games on Thursday.

Puerto Rican Winter League

Adalberto Flores, who is a minor league free agent, pitched in Ponce's opener on Thursday. He surrendered two runs on three hits in 1.1 innings, walking zero and fanning two.

Flores is the only Rangers prospect not on the Caguas roster. The Rangers with Caguas are Ruben Sierra, Miguel Velazquez, Kevin Torres, Ivan Rodriguez, and Mike Ballard.
