Starting pitcher Omar Poveda suffered the loss for Aragua despite pitching fairly well. The right-hander allowed two runs on five hits in 4.1 innings. He fanned three without issuing a walk.
Guillermo Moscoso worked another scoreless inning for Caracas, giving up one hit. He has surrendered just two runs in eight innings over seven appearances thus far.
Licey pinch runner Andres James also played second base and shortstop in the contest. He committed an error and went 0-for-1 at the plate in the 15-5 blowout.
Pitching in his second game of the winter, Pedro Strop allowed one run in 1.2 innings of work. He gave up two hits and fanned one without issuing a walk.
Left-hander Mike Ballard did an excellent job in long relief for Caguas, tossing three scoreless innings. He gave up two hits while walking two and striking out two.
Ponce reliever Adalberto Flores allowed one run in one inning. He yielded one hit and walked two.
