The Venezuelan League took Tuesday off.

Dominican Winter League

Cibao DH Nelson Cruz was hitless in five at-bats, striking out twice.

Julio Borbon singled once in five trips.

Esteban German batted leadoff and played left field for the second consecutive day, and he was 1-for-4 with a base on balls.

Jarrod Saltalamacchia played in his first game of the winter–with the Toros del Este–and he singled once in five at-bats. Saltalamacchia batted cleanup as the designated hitter.

Puerto Rican Winter League

Lefty Mike Ballard lowered his ERA to 2.16 after he tossed two scoreless innings against Carolina. Ballard yielded just one hit, walked none, and struck out one.

Ponce reliever Adalberto Flores continued to struggle with control, as he walked three batters in two innings, but he didn't allow any runs. Flores gave up one hit and fanned two.
