Mexican Pacific League

The Mexican League's playoffs began on Saturday, and Luis Mendoza's Obregon club qualified.

Mendoza got the start in Obregon's opener, but he delivered his worst outing of the season. The right-hander coughed up six runs on eight hits in 4.1 innings, walking four and striking out five.

Venezuelan Winter League

Elvis Andrus singled twice in four at-bats, bringing his playoff average up to .364. He also committed his third error of the postseason.

Dominican Winter League

No Rangers appeared on Saturday. In the only playoff game of the day, Escogido defeated Licey, 5-2.

Puerto Rican Winter League

No Rangers appeared on Saturday.
