Arizona Fall League: Surprise - SEASON OVER

The Rafters finished with a .500 mark, two games behind the division-winning Peoria Javelinas in the Arizona Fall League's West Division.

Mexican Pacific League

Hermosillo tied up the LMP Championship Series at one game apiece with a 4-2 victory over Mazatlan. No Rangers appeared in the game, but former Rangers right-hander Esteban Loaiza got the start for Mazatlan and suffered the loss. Hermosillo third baseman Vinny Castilla, at 42-years-old, belted a solo homer off Loaiza.

Venezuelan Winter League

There was no game on Saturday.

Dominican Winter League

Cibao topped Escogido, 3-2, to take a 3-2 lead in the best-of-nine series. Right fielder Nelson Cruz helped carry the Gigantes to victory with two singles [and a run scored] in four at-bats. The base hits were his first in five Championship Series contests.

Escogido leadoff hitter and shortstop Joaquin Arias was hitless in four plate appearances. He struck out once.

Former Rangers closer Francisco Cordero worked a scoreless seventh inning in the losing effort for the Leones.

Puerto Rican Winter League

No Rangers appeared on Saturday.
